Questions
Questions parents ask us
If yours isn't here, send the short form and ask. We'll call you.
Is chiropractic safe for kids?
Kids get a much lighter touch than adults. Dr. Baun checks first, explains what he's doing, and adjusts only what needs it, with pressure sized for a child. You stay in the room the whole time.
Does it hurt?
Most people say it doesn't. You might feel some pressure, and sometimes a little soreness the next day, like after a workout. Tell us if anything is uncomfortable and we'll change it.
What does the cracking sound mean? Is something wrong?
No. That pop is gas being released from the fluid in a joint when it moves, the same thing that happens when you crack your knuckles. It doesn't mean anything broke. Kids' adjustments often make no sound at all.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in, like what you'd wear to the gym or to play outside. No need to change when you get here.
How long does a visit take?
The first visit is longer because we talk and do a full check. [[TK: first visit length]] Regular visits after that are quicker. [[TK: regular visit length]]
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. You can call us directly.
Why don't you take insurance?
We're cash-based so your care is built around you, not around what insurance will approve. Prices are simple and posted on our pricing page. Card is fine. [[TK: superbill: confirm yes or no]]
How much does it cost?
Everything is on the pricing page. [[TK: prices]]
Can I bring my kids along to my appointment?
Yes. Bring them. [[TK: confirm: stroller room, play corner, anything kid-friendly in the office]]
How young can my child be?
We see kids of all ages, from little ones who just started walking to teenagers. [[TK: confirm youngest age he sees, including infants]]
I'm pregnant. Can I come in?
Yes, you're welcome here. Care is gentle and adjusted as your body changes. [[TK: confirm prenatal approach]]
How many visits will I need?
It depends on what's going on, and you'll get a straight answer after your first visit. Many people start with a plan of about 13 weeks, then move to occasional wellness visits.
What is Zone Technique?
It's the approach Dr. Baun uses. He checks how your nervous system is doing first, then adjusts the spine where it's needed. Here's more on how it works.
What happens after I fill out the form?
We call you within [[TK: confirm: one business day]], answer your questions, and set up a first visit that fits your schedule.
